3. How to get more information about additional services in accommodation units?

Additional services offered in accommodation units can be available on request, they can be arranged with the owner (on the spot) and they can be free of charge. You can find this information inside a description for each accommodation unit. Service listed in additional service pricelist can be reserved during the reservation process.

6. Who do I contact in case I come across a problem when I arrive in the accommodation unit?

If you encounter any kind of problem during your stay in reserved accommodation unit, please contact our customer service at +21 542 235, and we will try to resolve the problem over the phone. If we are not able to resolve your problem over the phone, our representative will arrive in the accommodation unit to resolve the problem in person. Time needed for our representative to arrive will depend on your location. In this case we would like to ask for your patience.

7. Why does the exchange rate change during reservation payment?

If you are paying with a credit card, Galileo charges your credit card for the amount in kunas according to the selling rate of the “Privredna Banka Zagreb”. Your credit card company charges your bank in Euros according to the exchange rate of the bank your credit card company works with, on the day when the reservation amount is charged.

8.What are the bank transaction fees?

Galileo and the guest share bank transaction fees. Galileo covers the fees of its bank and the guest covers the fees of its own bank. Bank fee is not a fixed amount and it varies depending on the payee’s bank. In case your bank does not have a contract with PBZ (Galileo’s bank), payment is made through a third bank. Each bank charges transaction fees and fees of your bank may be higher than expected. Please be aware that Galileo cannot accept bank transactions where bank fees exceed 2% of the reservation value.

It is possible to make a reservation with Galileo using galileo.hr web pages or directly in Galileo’s main office.

10. How can I check availability for a certain accommodation unit or service?

You can always check availability by sending us an inquiry. Read more about it here.

11. When is the reservation payment due?

Depending on a starting date of the reservation, reservation amount can be paid in two installments. First payment is considered as an advance payment and it has to be paid upon reservation has been confirmed. Rest of the balance has to be paid according to the payment terms for the given reservation. Advance payment is forwarded to the service provider and it is used to confirm your reservation. 12. What is the sojourn tax?

Guest is obliged to pay sojourn tax, defined by the “Sojourn tax Law”. Daily sojourn tax varies between 4,00 and 8,00 kunas per person for adults. Youth between 12 and 18 years pay 50% of that amount. Children up to 12 years of age do not pay a sojourn tax. Amount of the sojourn tax depends on a location of accommodation unit and a period for which it has been reserved.
